    (hipro) HP-D2808F3P

    Hello everybody

This PSU came in a HP workstation xw4100, looks like the little board labeled "CTR BOARD" had some problems,

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...1&d=1282236762

i have managed to look the caps values and resistances colors, but im having trouble with the SMD on the back.

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...1&d=1282236762

I believe is a transistor but, i am not sure, and if it is i dont know what is its part number... i was wondering if anyone has this particular model and could help me out by taking me a look...? please.

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...1&d=1282236762

Also, given the fact that i do not have around any other of this unit, i dont know if i could find the specific part even if known... so I began wondering what replacement could I use?? (if i cant get that specific) what should i be looking for in my dead PSUs cemetery? (cause i sure am I wont get new SMDs around)

Any info, tip or advise is appreciated.

    peace.

Looks like no one has a psu just like yours, but I have one that is similiar, probably an earlier model, the HiPro HP-D2537F3R.

    The resistor values are:
    R201 270k
    R202 240k
    R203 300k
    R204 300k

The one I fixed, R201 and R203 were open

The transistor is Q201, and the marking on it is BR (two other characters afterward I could not read, very tiny letters or symbols). It is a NPN transistor used to switch on the 5vsb pwm chip, a KA1H0165R.

Voltages on Q201 when working properly are:
    emitter 24.4 volts
    base 25 volts
    collector 24.5 volts

The capacitor I could not read the value of it without unsoldering and removing the small pc board from the main pc board. The capacitor also had glue all over it, making reading values near impossible.

    Hope this helps.

Lol. I just got one of these PSUs if you're still looking for an answer...
Didn't mean to dig up and old thread but this came up when I googled the model of the PSu and bad caps, because mine has a bulged Teapo...

Recapping Sony ICF-SW55 - verifying cap values
              by proxneo
              Dear reader

I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.

At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:

              3 x 470uF 10VDC
              3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
              4 x 47uF 50VDC
              8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
              1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
              5 x 100uF 6.3VDC

              Which...

I am looking for capacitor & Inductor values for my TOSHIBA Qosmio X500-110 - mobile graphics - Nvidia GTS 250M Laptop.

              Values for :-
              =========
              PC43 : Capacitor [3x1.5mm]
              PL7 : Inductor [2x1mm]
              PC39 : Capacitor [1x0.5mm]

              Any ideas would be appreciated.

I can get Capacitor values from nearby components but wanted to know the max ratings also I dont have equipment to measure inductors....

Different (lower) resistor values on PCB?
              by Kobok
              Dear Alls,
For sure it id a stupid question, but help me to understand. I am in a Dell 2007WFP revitalizing project - searching reason why not starting. Some resistors needed to replaced is is obvious. When I have soldered some resistors the measured (with multimeter) values were sometimes rather different written on them. I supposed these are wrong units so I desoldered and made a checking measurement and voilá the values is the same is written on. This happens only in case of a few resistors, most have the same values (+/- 10%) are written on it. "strange" SMD resistors =>103...

Behringer Eurolive B205D repair - help identifying transistor
              by magneh
              Hello
Got this speaker from a friend , defective. Power led comes on and off , in a loop.
Disassembled, got the board out, and after a bit of measuring I found a low resistance on a 5v6 line. With a bit of current I found a transistor heating up on that line (labeled T1 and 113 as on pic).
After removing this guy, I got a value of 0.7 in diode mode on that 5v6 line, which before had 0.02 or something like that.

I tested powering it up without the IC, and the speaker turns on and stays on, and works fine

Still, I need to replace this transistor....

Here some measurements on HP Victus 16-d0500la, it might help someone, the values are on diode mode->mV and some lower ones on Resistance->Ω.

This specific laptop has an Intel i5 11400h + RTX 3050TI, the values are from a working laptop....
