    Lenovo Z580 Bios Unlock

    Hello, I have this Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 (model name: 2151) that has a bios lock. (MB: DALZ3AMB8E0 REV: E)
    What I tried:
    Remove Cmos battery - no help
    Short bios pin (i see this somewhere on the internet) - no help

    On the MB there is two Winbond IC's. (25Q64FV and 25X40BV)
    I read the .bin data from 25Q64FV and try to use Lenovo Autopatcher from this post but I got an error.
    Does anyone know why is there a two Winbond IC's? And how can i remove bios password?

      It's a Phoenix bios, it should show a challenge code after 3 wrong passwords. 25Q64FV is Main bios and 25X40BV is for EC.

          After 3 wrong password i get a message:
          "Error: System Locked (and some code, this code is different every time).

          Here is an example of codes

              Yep, put the challenge code in https://bios-pw.org/ and you'll get password, restart and write password.

                                  I ty all of the files that you guys provided and only 25Q64FV.new.rar is working I am able to enter the bios but now I have a different problem. The fan is always spinning fast and laptop turn off after 30-40sec

                                              Your password may be calculated... Enter three wrong passwords and post the new code.

                                                  Ok, so i restored the original .BIN file and here is the new code 1EC34EF5.
                                                  But i notice that again the fan is at full speed and again the laptop turn off after 30-40sec

                                                              IMPORTANT: Do not type anything until you have received the Unlock Key (password), as Hint Code will change every 3 incorrect passwords. At second incorrect password force computer shutdown and try again.

                                                                  Thanks, now i typed again the password (297934B0) and still incorrect password, i stopped after the second try and turn off the laptop.

                                                                                  I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
                                                                                  So I thought it was a Bios problem.
                                                                                  I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                                                                                  Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

                                                                                  My Lenovo Legion Y540 (i7-9750H, RTX 2060) bricked after I downgraded from BHCN44WW to BHCN21WW.
                                                                                  Laptop stopped booting entirely.

                                                                                  I used a CH341A programmer to dump the corrupted 16MB BIOS.
                                                                                  i then attempted the following:
                                                                                  1. Downloaded stock BIOS BHCN39WW from Lenovo
                                                                                  2. Trimmed it to 16MB
                                                                                  3. Extracted the BIOS region from the corrupted dump
                                                                                  4. Extracted the BIOS region from the stock 39WW
                                                                                  5. Replaced the corrupted BIOS region with the stock one (within hxd , opened the corrupted dump and replaced its region by the stock)

                                                                                  I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.

                                                                                  History:

                                                                                  1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.

                                                                                  I searched for this error online and discovered...
