Re: Lenovo Z580 Bios Unlock
I think there is something wrong besides the password. I try several .bin files and i always get the fan at full speed and turn it off after 40sec, even with the original bios and EC.
I noticed that on my laptop is version 5FCN35WW and on the Lenovo site is 5FCN95WW. Maybe someone can extract the file from the Lenovo website?
Also, why on the website they offer private and public versions of bios?Last edited by rtstorm; 12-19-2022, 05:56 PM....the quieter you become the more you are able to hear...Comment

Re: Lenovo Z580 Bios Unlock
I noticed that PCH is getting hot and on the internet, i read that this may be the problem due to the ME region in Bios. I try to flash a bios from post #10 and still overheating PCH....the quieter you become the more you are able to hear...Comment

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem
Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
Initial Findings:- My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
- I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
- I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
- I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
- I concluded that the

by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by gestalt.exeHi everyone,
My Lenovo Legion Y540 (i7-9750H, RTX 2060) bricked after I downgraded from BHCN44WW to BHCN21WW.
Laptop stopped booting entirely.
I used a CH341A programmer to dump the corrupted 16MB BIOS.
i then attempted the following:- Downloaded stock BIOS BHCN39WW from Lenovo
- Trimmed it to 16MB
- Extracted the BIOS region from the corrupted dump
- Extracted the BIOS region from the stock 39WW
- Replaced the corrupted BIOS region with the stock one (within hxd , opened the corrupted dump and replaced its region by the stock)
- Injected back my LDGB / DMI

by grimacelordHello there.
I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.
History:
1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.
I searched for this error online and discovered...-
