Hi,
I have a P15v that, after bios update from windows update, it started overheating and CPU is throttling. I noticed that windows update made a EC update to v1.14 (N30HT34W) and this version doesn't exist in Lenovo official update, last EC version being v1.16 (N30HT33W). I was able to downgrade bios but it doesn't also downgrade EC version. So, my question is if lenovo bios upgrade program can be altered to force a EC downgrade (something like alter ini file to skip verifying EC version but I can't find ini file). EC is NPCX897 and I can't modify it (I have a RT809H).
S/N: PF-2WJHT3, model 20TQ , attached bios dump, please verify also bios dump maybe something is also wrong in it.

that's funny, if you click on "details" and scroll down you'll find this: (see photos) . But it's good to know that v1.17 was released in 2003
also, extracting files from latest bios update i found for EC "N30HT33W" which coresponds with v1.16

Apologise for late response, client took laptop and went in vacation, bring it back 2 days ago. Bios you provided doesn't work at all, laptop doesn't start, when I press power on button nothing happens. But thanks a lot for your time!

I think in my case is not a bios problem, when I run stability test under Aida64 only powered on battery CPU doesn't throttling and temperatures are ok. I discovered this by mistake, I thought AC Adapter was plugged in into 220V socket but it wasn't!

serial number pf-309c95 ,
goes off after sometime , then it turns on again with self healing process , and so on ,
changed the bios chip with new one after transfering the orginal dump .. still the same, tried to rebuild the dump file but it ends up with wrong size file
i dont know what im missing here
