Hello EveryOne,
I have a Lenovo Ideadpad gaming 3 15ACH6 LA-L171P Rev 1A that is not reacting to power button press (no LED or fanspin)
After a shorted EC chip replacement I have found that BIOS chip is full empty so cannot post it. (I'm guessing that is why RSMRST not rising after button press)
S/N: MP2E5TCK
Thank you

Hi, I mentioned my laptop earlier—it's a long story. The BIOS chip (GD25LR128DSIG) has a broken pin. I ordered a replacement from China, but it seems to be fake, as the programmer doesn't detect the chip at all. My question is: what is its equivalent? I don't want to order another one just to find out it doesn't work again. I checked the W25Q128JWSIQ and W25Q128FW, but I'm not sure if they're compatible. Please help. Thank you for your time and response.

If you cannot detect chip with the program then either your driver is not correctly installed on your machine or the legs not tuching, OR chip is faulty.
Try reinstalling the driver first and check leg connection with multimeter

My oppinion is that replacement accoring to my comparison link and your bios datasheet W25Q128JWSIQ is better for your replacement because its maximum Maximum Clock Frequency is up to 133Mhz and your GD25LR128D is up to 120Mhz
(w25q128fwsig is only 104 Mhz) but someone correct me if I wrong.
