Issue with Dell Latitude 7200 2-in-1 (LA-G661P)
My Dell Latitude 7200 2-in-1 (LA-G661P) is stuck in a boot loop. The Dell logo appears, then the system restarts, and the logo appears again—this cycle keeps repeating. I’ve already tried updating the BIOS, but the issue remains. Please help me resolve this problem.

Re: BIOS Dell Latitude 7200 DDB20 LA-G661P
service tag is JUST JDVD1Z2 ...
1st boot press F2 and write service tag, disable Absolute, Apply Changes, restart. 2nd boot press alt+F to exit factory mode. Let it run for 2mins, it will restart several times without displaying anything.
Cu placere!
use this bin file, turn on and then "manufacture mode active"
how to skip this notification, thankyouLeave a comment:

update. after last bios flash with peste bios, laptop was dead (no more power on), so i put original bios back and without erasing eprom i put your bios on it, with same dead laptop as result. thinking i may have damaged the notebook and in addition my bios adapter was a chinese crap quality that smell like burn plastic i put the laptop aside for a while. today i got new adapter and flashed your bios with normal programming(erase blanc checking write, verify) and after reassembly it it started and all is working perfectly.
big tnx to both of u for helping.
my question is .... was peste bios not ok, or maybe bios soldering was not at first ?
again big tnxim more happy that laptop is still working other then remove the password in oit. ( ofc password is gone now and i can format it.)

ty for the quick reply. dunno if bios is soldered bad, but laptop didnt power on. dunno if bios problem or solder problem or something else has happened. maybe ill try resolder the bios again and see if it start.
for now thank you very much.
edit: i check bios solder and all looks ok. maybe i could try with original bios back ?
edit2: i ll wait maybe some other file to try, as my adapter is cheap and smells terrible when soldering the bios on it, also if it work i dont have to take board in and aout too often as that notebooks looks like it can brake any momentLast edited by dellxps15; 02-05-2025, 09:21 AM.Leave a comment:

by TripTopHi
i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
- takes long time to restart.
- sometimes powers on and then off
- sometimes while working it just dies,
From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?
i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)
As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.
I reinstall...-

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
- External display (HDMI) shows

by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...-

by grimacelordHi folks,
I'm having a hard time extracting this Dell BIOS. I have a Dell Latitude E6530 that has BIOS corruption and I need to reflash with CH341A programmer. I have already taken dumps of both the 4MB and 8MB chips on the motherboard.
Service tag number for this model is: "JYDWYW1".
Link to latest BIOS for this Service Tag: https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER05371360M/1/E6530A22.exe
I have tried:
- Simply extracting with 7zip
- PFSExtractor
- Using "/writeromfile, /writehdrfile, and /writehexfile" commands
- Check Temp folder
