        Dell latitude 5400 bios ec.

Currently i am working on a dell latitude 5400 mobo with i5 8th gen , which came from a different shop and customer informed me that they replaced the bios chips and the startup chip. I highly doubt their work because i found the bios chip was in the sim card slot . So guys i want you all to help me with the bios files for both chips and the EC chip data programming. (It is in no power condition but the 3.3valw,5valw,1v and 1.8v are present So i think it is related to wrong bios or EC.)

        HELP ME GUYS.

Hello, I don't want to say anything, but how many Dell devices do you actually have to unlock?
Given the number of requests, I would think it would be easier to learn it yourself.
                              Just my opinion.
You would save yourself a lot of time having to upload it every time.

That's all I'm asking, the tool that used to be available here doesn't seem to be available any more so I can't do it myself or I've looked for it wrong.
The people I work with sometimes have fun setting passwords and then forget them or leave the company and don't give out their passwords...
For your information, I still have one to unlock

Yes, the tool you mean, the Dell 8FC8 Bios Password Patcher, will no longer be available in this form because it unfortunately contains a defect.
However, the developer SMDFlea can't do anything about it.
Because it cannot be technically implemented with an open source program.

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...

So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...

                                        Hello everyone,
I'm working on a Dell Latitude 5490 with a LA-F401P motherboard that has a very peculiar issue, and I would appreciate your insights.
                                        Initial Problem:
The laptop was completely dead, no signs of life, no power LED.
                                        Action Taken:
I flashed the main BIOS chip with a clean dump. This brought the machine back to life, but with a strange limitation.
Current Situation & The Main Issue:
The laptop now works perfectly when powered through the USB-C port. It charges the battery, powers on, boots into the OS, and functions 100% correctly....
