I am working on a Samsung Laptop NP900X4C-A01CA. The status right now is NO DISPLAY but the motherboard is drawing .75 milli amps (Amps fluctuates up & down a bit) & the CPU & the GPU even gets hot. VCORE voltages are all good & all all voltages seem to be good. Can anyone repair/fix this Original BIOS fo this laptop. Thanks in advance.

Re: Samsung NP900X4C-A01CA BIOS
A lot of the older samsung bios get corrupted NVRAM . Try merging the bios update. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88206 .The platform ID is ABK if its the original bios.
Extract the DMI from the EVSA store using UEFITool (extract as is, just this EVSA store, not all of them) or with a hex editor 70AC00 - 70ADFF
Samsung bios extractor attached.

Re: Samsung NP900X4C-A01CA BIOS
Thanks Peste & SMDFlea.. really appreciate!!! Going to do it for the first time.. Let's see how far I can go with this. So you mean I have to Extract the DMI from the EVSA Store & drag it to the Samsung Extractor with the Original BIOS Bin Files???Comment

Re: Samsung NP900X4C-A01CA BIOS
No,the downloaded bios update needs extracting with the attached tool, then that extracted file wants copying/merging over the orig biosLast edited by SMDFlea; 02-02-2022, 05:21 PM.Comment

Re: Samsung NP900X4C-A01CA BIOS
Thanks SMDFlea., 1st time doing this, so confusing. As I understand, 1st the original Samsung BIOS have to be extracted with the attached tool. & then extracted file need to be written onto a new BIOS chip. My apologies, did not get it, once I do it then it will be easier & even for everyone in this world. Thanks & thank you.Comment

Re: Samsung NP900X4C-A01CA BIOS
The extracted file needs editing as it has a capsule header ,Select off-sets 0 - 1CF (length 1D0) ,delete. Then there`s more editing to do to make it the right size... its a 3MB update (bios region). Thanks SMDFlea., 1st time doing this, so confusing. Re: Samsung NP900X4C-A01CA BIOS
Thanks you so much SMDFlea., when I download this BIN file which you have send me, is it already edited as I see the properties of it, & it 8MB. So I believe you have send me the edit version file??? Right? or should I delete the off-sets 0 - 1CF (length 1D0) & then this will be the correct file to be programmed on the BIOS Chip? ThanksComment

Re: Samsung NP900X4C-A01CA BIOS
Good to know, You're welcome.
After getting the file as you did in Post #16. This file isn't a Full BIOS Image (It's just a BIOS Region), so I replaced it with the old one (You can use UEFITool or HxD) then I cleaned the ME Region.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

by KjellAfter installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).
Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...08-01-2025, 09:15 AM -
by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
- External display (HDMI) shows

by Habble7The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

by cr4zychrissHello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details- Barebone / Chassis: TongFang GK7MRFR

by CityminHi all,
My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)
