It didn't work either, the machine consumes 0.09 on the asymmetric power supply. When we press the power it runs the cooler, turns off and stays 0.09.
Bios still didn't work, before recording the machine is locked in the Dell logo or when I pressed F12 it appeared preparing the boot menu and it was also locked.Comment

Do you think I didn't check exactly which is the model before I started doing anything?
Does the Service Tag below tells you anything? You're even still under warranty.

Dell latitude 5580, motherboard cdp 80 la-e151p
3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"
(from here https://www.dell.com/support/manuals...e7a&lang=en-us)
I try plugging charger while pressing ctrl+esc, machine turns on, nothing and after 20 seconds it gives 3 amber 3 white blinks again.

So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the... -
Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...
