    Hello I have reprogram and and resolder the bios chip still have the same problem.

    i have another 3400 which will only display the diagnostic colours if I hold down "D" and power on the unit.
    have tried to flash it with same file but no luck.
    cltr + esc and bios_rcv.bin does Nothing.
    any ideas

    do you think it will be a hardware fault ?
    double check the solder on the bios chip

    They both worked after entering service tag, exiting Manufacturing mode and selecting latitude 3400 from next menu.
