    Lenovo G700 BIOS request

    Hello,

Can I please have a working BIOS for:

    Lenovo G700
    Model name: 20251

    S/N: AB20567927
    P/N: 59395272
    MO: AB04010501

    Re: Lenovo G700 BIOS request

The BIOS save that I have attached, makes the laptop to power on, fan working normal, but no display output.
I have tried some from different threads, but those ones make the laptop completley dead.

        Re: Lenovo G700 BIOS request

        Thank you for the reply.

After reprogramming, the laptop does not power on at all.

It appears to be a BIOS issue, as with the old one, it powers on, fan spins normal, but no display.

            Hello, I have a Lenovo G700 BAMBI REV: 2.1
            S / N AB20389664
            P / N 59395525
            11S11201512ZZ0MLDB9A2D

No picture turns on, two bios

            W25Q16, W25Q32

I'm looking for the right bios.
After programming the bios from the third post, the laptop does not turn on.
After programming the bios from the fifth post, the laptop turned on after connecting the power supply (autostart), the image showed up.
When turned on again, it turns on but no backlight.

I'm looking for a suitable bios, thank you.

in the attachment the original bios recorded with the programmer

After programming the bios, the laptop turned on without backlight,
It turned out that the Hall sensor at the switch is damaged. After
replacing the sensor, the laptop works properly
                Thank you for your help

Hello, I have Lenovo G700 laptop as well

                  Lenovo G700
                  Model name: 20251
                  Mainboard: BAMBI REV: 2.1
                  S/N: AB20185212
                  P/N: 59377721
                  MO: AB03061403

I used the CH341A programmer to read the bios chips and afaik my laptop has 2 bios chips:
                  W25Q32FVSIQ and W25Q16DVSIG

I could read the ID of the W25Q32FV chip and it got detected by AsProgrammer, I'll attach the .bin file it created after I read the IC.
The problem I have is with the other chip W25Q16DV as no matter what I do it doesn't get detected by the program. I tried 2 different CH341A programmers and I get the same issue.
After connecting the programmer with the W25Q16DV chip and opening AsProgrammer I get this after pressing the read ID button:

                  ID(9F): FFFFFF(Unknown)
                  ID(90): FFFF(Unknown)
                  ID(AB): FF(Unknown)
                  ID(15): FFFF(Unknown)

Also if I manually search for the correct chip and press the read IC button it only shows FF everywhere in the editor so I'm stuck at this and don't know what to do next.
Pressing the unprotect button only outputs "Old SREG: 11111111(0xFF)" with no new SREG and I'm not sure if that means that it's actively protected so I can't see any real output.
I bricked the laptop years ago and it doesn't power on on its own. After I connect the power supply to the laptop it appears to turn on, I can hear the fan spin and the LED for the power works but the display stays black.
Any help or advice is appreciated, thank you

remove the chip from the board before reading or writing, don't use the clip, you might have errors..

Hey, I removed the chip from the board and I'm not sure what you mean with don't use the clip. So should I connect the chip with the CH341A programmer now that the chip is desoldered from the board?

thanks, I used the .bin from hardware1 and soldered the chip back to the board. Does it look alright or should I resolder it again? I'm not sure how it's supposed to look like as it's my first time doing this

What's the hell going on ? What am I seeing ? The chip pins must be insulated from each other.

I got the laptop to work again!, for future reference:

I desoldered the W25Q16DV chip and used the CH341A programmer to flash the 2 MB .bin onto it provided by SMDFlea from post #5.
Then I resoldered the chip back to the mainboard and thanks to the input of hoaca388 I cleaned up the solder as you can see in post #15.
After that I connected the CH341A programmer with the W25Q32FV chip and flashed the 4 MB .bin onto it provided by SMDFlea from post #5.
I put the laptop back together and it worked again

I installed linux mint after I took the attached picture x)

Thanks to SMDFlea, peste and hoaca388 for the help!
