Sorry for the delay in responding, Aditya11ttt. I hadn't seen your post. The KBC chip is exactly the one you mentioned: the NPCE288GA0DX.

I recently purchased this Yoga 11e which stated on the listing just a cmos error upon boot, by time seller sold it to me, it had been a good few weeks and it had completely run low and I mean 0.3 low, so somehow the bios corrupted and upon turn om after replacing the cmos it was blank screen, so I tried pulling the bios and re-writing it back on after then buying a cha341 programmer thing, to even worse black screen with beeping, I then used the official bios provided by Lenovo posted by Badcaps and it was working partly, so I got display and then just 1 error, the 0381: CRC EFI error, and passworded bios, I then tried the patcher myself and came up with the vram error:

upon export and when applying the patched bios to do the password thing and put it back on it went blank screen again, with just patcher, I then had no other choice for now to put the original back on and now I got the cmos error regarding time and date and the crc efi error codes upon boot but pressing esc does boot into windows, just errors and passworded bios, I need a bios done please for a:

I have attached the original one I have working but with errors now 0271/0381 and the patched one that dont work with blank screen within the zip just incase, 0271 maybe showing up as I pulled out the cmos before reprog chip...I appreciate any help I can get and will provide any additional information if needed, I also have a dell in similar condition that I will be looking to fix considering ive gone to all this trouble haha, but its nice to learn new things even if that means programming bios chips, Thank you very much in advance your skills, knowledge and talents here are more than appreciated.

Which one did you use?

!! No PWD is forever. !!

You have to clear the password with blank twice, clear the security chip, then put the original back.
Otherwise, Password will never work again.

In any case, write a blank password and clear security chip,
so if you update the BIOS, it won't come back.

Thread merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread.
