      Hi,

I found the W25Q256JVEQ Bios chip. It is a 8-WDFN Exposed Pad type chip. How do I connect to it and read it?

Sorry for the newbie questions. I never came across one of these chips.

                  ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7, type 20QD, S/N PF-21V10Z

The notebook starts & lights up, but screen is blank (although I tested it works), no POST.

                  Maybe ME clean required?

                  Thank you for your help.

In my previous post I attached the uncompressed bios dump (i.e. it's not a zip file). Sorry about that.

use Lenovo maintenance utility to write DMI in EC. You'll find B0 to a label from motherboard (8S....) , C0 is 1S20QD000LUSPF14N29Q and brand name is ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7

The device information still matches, I used that utility to delete and rewrite it but it didn't work, I loaded another bios and the notification went away but the update was very slow but I tried clearing me but the power didn't work.

                                    Hi Guys
My Laptop most likely bricked my laptop after Bios Update...
                                    Resetting no success.
Now i took out the bios chip (25Q256JVEQ) and read the bios in the RT809F ISP Programmer (?correct?).
I did two readings, please look at the attachments.

Can may be someone provide me with a working bios to flah on... as a last resort chance...

THX hoaca388, the provided BIOS.BIN worked perfectly.
had to perform several attempts to flash the BIOS.BIN to bios-chip (RT908f Programmer).
                                      Can further use the Laptop.
