    S-L-O-W boot times.
I recently acquired a ThinkPad T480 - Type 20L6-S0HG00, Build date: 18/05, S/N: PF17SPX4, Intel i7 - 8th generation with a locked / supervisor password protected BIOS. I successfully patched the BIOS using the autopatch instructions I found on here. BIG thanks to Knucklegrumble!
After patching and flashing, per the instructions I set BIOS settings to their default and then updated the old BIOS that it came installed with (dated 2018) to the newest 03.2025 BIOS from Lenovo's official site. I now experience unusually long boot times that take 19 seconds just to get to the red LENOVO logo and 68 seconds to get to the Linux Mint logon screen. This is with a NVMe SSD and 32GB RAM. I have read about cleaning the ME Region. Could this be the answer to the horribly long boot times?

i got a bricked T480 and got my self a ch341a and flash the bios that I have attached this did not work and after trying different .bin files I tried to flash heads this work and then after re-flashing with the attached bios it worked and have done a USB bios utility update which worked since then have done a full Lenovo Diagnostics which found nothing wrong. Though, I think the PCIe cable is broken. So I have tied to boot form USB and two things have happened when I used balenaetcher is says error file '/boot/' not found and when using Ventoy and using normal boot it most often it is just blank with a _ in the top left of the screen when using grub2 and don't select anything after a few seconds it goes to Ubuntu loading screen but nothing happens if you actively select you get a load of text that according to Google Lens means something about security_inode_alloc I have also had xz corrupted data come up once have i flashed the bios wrong or is it the TB 3 flashing that is coursing it. After pressing the ESC key when Ubuntu is stuck loading, this comes up

Thanks!, it works. IDK what the EC (Embedded Control) was, but I do a quick search on Chat-GPT explained very good even teach me how to modify hex data using hex editor programs.

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem

    Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
    Initial Findings:
    • My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
    • I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
    • I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
    Troubleshooting Steps & Conclusions:
    • I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
    • I concluded that the

Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS

    Hello everyone,

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...
