I recently acquired a ThinkPad T480 - Type 20L6-S0HG00, Build date: 18/05, S/N: PF17SPX4, Intel i7 - 8th generation with a locked / supervisor password protected BIOS. I successfully patched the BIOS using the autopatch instructions I found on here. BIG thanks to Knucklegrumble!
After patching and flashing, per the instructions I set BIOS settings to their default and then updated the old BIOS that it came installed with (dated 2018) to the newest 03.2025 BIOS from Lenovo's official site. I now experience unusually long boot times that take 19 seconds just to get...
