Dell E6230 A20 BIOS dump needed!

Hi! As the title explains, a Dell E6230 I have at home is not booting. I wanted to fix it, as it's holiday right now and I don't have something to do in this time.

    The problem is:

This laptop won't boot unless I remove the CMOS battery and wait for 5 minutes. Then, it boots up normally with a warning ("Date and Time not set, that's normal.."). As soon as it's starting, it works normally without any problems. I flashed the BIOS using a dump here on Badcaps, as the BIOS was corrupt, too. When I try to update the BIOS from Windows/DOS, it prepares the update, then just restarts and boots straight into Windows without even trying to install the BIOS update.. something wrong with the ME region of the BIOS? Or am I wrong?

I'd be thankful if someone would try to help.

Re: Dell E6230 i5 not booting.

Date and time not set warning

    Cause is CMOS cell dead

Replace CMOS battery with new one and all problem will resolve

Bios was not corrupted until you flash it

Now change CMOS battery and check normal
    No need to update bios

Re: Dell E6230 i5 not booting.

I ordered new batteries. The problem is that the laptop was not booting at all till I flashed the BIOS with a CH341A programmer. It worked then, but reinserting the CMOS cell made it not booting again. I want the A20 BIOS, as I think the older A12 BIOS (which is right now installed on the BIOS chip) has a lot of bugs.

      Thanks.

MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 - real bios dump from board needed (no stock bios)
            by DynaxSC
Hi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).

I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...

Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
            by mikeybass
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

Razer RZ09-01682 Blade Stealth 13 2016 BIOS dump needed
            by vinaypundith
I have this laptop that does boot but it's on an older BIOS that has issues with Secure Boot, and I cannot use the normal Razer BIOS updater because for some reason the serial number is missing / got deleted somehow (Common issue on this model, from what I've read). I got a dump of the BIOS chip (or at least what I think is the BIOS chip), and its 16MB in size - the files from the Razer BIOS update are 8MB. (There's two 8MB files, am I supposed to combine these somehow? Or combine with an Intel ME firmware? I have no idea).
So, I'm looking for a BIOS dump for this machine - a 16MB one....
