I've tried RCUnlocker and hpunlocker and they don't work. Still asking for BIOS Administrator Password.

              Good Morning All

Currently working on zBook 17 G6 after fixing so many myself I've come stuck with this one.

Bios Chip was Blank when I Bought it. I flashed a BIN file from here which worked but serial mismatch threw up the Security Error.

I'm not experienced enough to edit the semi working BIN file and add the right serial. So I was hoping someone on here could use HP Recovery BIN, embed my serial and give me back a Bios and EC Bin please.

              SN - 5CD0404K8R

This is the serial from the back case. I haven't looked into the EC Chip for Serial as I get a read Error at 97%

              Many Thanks

post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

Hi Thanks for the reply.. Its the RT809F programmer, software version is 20240116

I've repaired 4/5 laptops since my original post. I've also wiped the EC chip when I thought I had a working bios/EC combo.

                  Thanks

post working bios files for both main+Ec, not the bin file from update package. But ... if you can boot in windows use BCU (bios config utility) from HP and use it under cmd as Admin to get current configuration using cmd line "biosconfigutility /get:config.txt" (or whatever name you want for.txt file), open it with notepad, make modifications for serial, sku, etc. - you have a sticker on bottom case with these values or go to partsurfer.hp.com enter your serial and get values from there if you can't find sticker - save file as new.txt (or whatever name you want) in docs and move it in BCU folder. then use cmd line " biosconfigutility /set:new.txt " and job done.

                      Hi thanks for the reply.

I went through so many different Bios files before I found one that kind of worked. But threw up the Endpoint Security Error. I know I should have saved it under a different file name but stupidly I Didn't.

I'm unable to read the EC chip as it errors at 97% no matter what I try.

I read somewhere that the Downloadable Bios file was able to be split into Bios and EC chip. Both with no Serial Numbers on

I'll try this weekend again to try and get it working to the Endpoint Security Error and post that Bios. I'm not able to get into Windows because of the error

                      Many Thanks
