The LAPTOP turned off when I was updating the bios

Board turns on but no display
Keyboard keys light up.
all voltages seem present
No USB activity.
Original bios here.
Can someone help?

Hi,
I'm having issues with XPS 7390 2-in-1-
Board: LA-G172P
Service Tag: 7PHFQ13
Computer would not boot, just dim amber light whenever power button was pressed. I downloaded a BIOS online and inserted the BIOS region of original bios with service tag info to the new donor bios with new EC and ME firmware.
Now it will post but will not read from USB, or internal NVME drive. SD boot still works.
Must I use the original EC section? I tried with just using the donor ME, but would not boot.
I've attached my original non-functional backup, my half-functioning backup with new EC and ME, and the donor bios.
I also tried just the donor bios with the same symptoms as my modified bios.Comment

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅... -

Hi folks,
I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)
Steps I took:- Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
