    LA-9865P BIOS+EC please

Hey guys, grateful if anyone can provide known good Main BIOS + EC for Toshiba Satellite L40-A.

    Motherboard: LA-9865P rev 1A
    EC: KB9012QF

Please find attached original main BIOS dump and another bios downloaded from (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ht=toshiba+L40). I will attach EC dump as soon as I dump it.

    Laptop issue:
Laptop came in as no power. After initial diagnostics, a shorted input mosfet was found and replaced. Laptops then exhibits issue hereunder.

when power button is pressed, board turns on (fan spins, hdd spins, etc but no display) and turns off after about 3-5seconds.

No other shorts were found and all voltage rails seems to be present and stable when power button is pressed as well as stable 3.3V when off.

upon first connection of charger, laptop idle draw is 21mA @19.7V. After first boot cycle (Off-On-Off), current draw drops to 8mA @19.7V.

Laptop consumes 320mA at start-up and stabilize quickly to 261mA@19.7V.

Laptop charges fine and exhibit same issue with AC only, Battery only & both AC + Battery. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks peste, but unfortunately issue is still same. Most likely there are other issues on the board. Will open another thread for it.

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware
          by Ahari
          Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

          I...

ASUS ZenBook UX480F : need help with cleaning the ME region of my BIOS dump
          by mkdj
          Dear all,
I have a ASUS ZenBook UX480F with the following symptoms:

I suspect it is a BIOS issue. So I decided to try to clean the ME region. I followed the guide on win-raid, and I believe I have done everything correctly. My problem is: when I open the outimage.bin in ME Analyzer, it says that it is Extracted, and not Region, Extracted as it should be. Is it normal, or did I do something not correctly? This is my first experience editing BIOS files.

I would appreciate if someone could take time to explain the issue, so that I can learn. But I would...

I need a BIOS dump for the Samsung S49CG934SU monitor
          by Habble7
The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

          Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

          Troubleshooting Attempts:

DUMP DVR HIKVISION DS-7208HGHI-K1 (80389 Rev 1.3 Firmware)
          by Mephysis
Hello guys i really need help, i recently updated my DS-7208HGHI-K1 and it somehow got bricked, I've got it up and working now by flashing a new dump file i found but the serial number is really wrong and the uploader of the dump file probably intentionally did it.

I still have the bricked dump file is it possible to transfer the serial number of the "bricked dump" to the "working dump"?

Need unlocked BIOS dump for W25Q64FV (Admin Password removal)
          by dell_bios
          Hi everyone,
I'm working on removing an administrative BIOS lock (Supervisor/Admin Password) on a laptop.
The board has three SPI flash chips:
          - W25Q64FV (main BIOS)
          - W25Q32FV (EC/TPM)
          - W25X10CL (configuration)

I was able to read the dump from the W25Q64FV chip, CRC32 = 0x3DE23E27.
The dump contains protection that needs to be removed.

If anyone has a clean or unlocked BIOS dump for W25Q64FV, I’d really appreciate it!
I’m also happy to share my dump for comparison if needed.

          Laptop model: [please specify, e.g....
