Very weird. The attached original EC dump is 512KB. Maybe the original owner tried installing the wrong bios update and it messed up something....Leave a comment:

Original EC is 512KB though, the one you provided is 256KB. Please advise.
Do I just pad it with 00 to get 512KB?

Hello everyone, need help finding/extracting EC firmware for MSI Trident 3 rev2.1. Board reference: MS-B9061 VER: 2.1
Looking around, I can only find rev1 EC.
Grateful for any help.
Please find attached original BIOS and EC dump as well as bios downloaded from MSI website.

Hi mon2, it's not the RTL8111C. It written REALTEK 8111C, sometimes listed as RT8111C. The pin count is different.

IC compatibility?
Hey Guys, I have a Lenovo AIO that came in for repairs.
One of the issues is a dead ethernet controller chip (RT8111C).
The only replacement I currently have is a RT8111H. Are the 2 interchangeable? I can't seem to find much info on the RT8111C. -

You need to measure resistance to ground on each coils. Continuity/resistance measurements should be done when NO power is applied to the board (not plugged in).Leave a comment:
