    Acer 5236/5536 BIOS issue?

Hey guys, grateful if anyone can provide known good dump for acer 5236/5536

    Motherboard: 08252-2. jv50-pu mb 48.4ch01.021

Laptop issue: When power button is pressed, fans ramps to maximum power with no display and boards cut off after about 10-15seconds (sometimes it goes up to 20seconds).

    Power draw @19.7V:
    Idle: 20mA
    On: 1.028A

All power rails are present and stable when turned on.

No shorts found on board and stable 32KHz and 25MHz clock observed.

Tried different RAM with no luck.

Tried BIOS file obtained from: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59082 but issue is still the same.

Please find attached original BIOS dump.

Make sure you are using a compatible CPU (different generation of S1 socket are not compatible), could also be a dead northbridge or GPU.

Motherboard in non GPU Version. As far as I know, CPU has not been touched and is the same one as originally supplied with motherboard.

Laptop came in and had obvious signs it had been worked on by someone else. Besides some pretty bad soldering job (which has already been corrected).

I doubt i'll be going as far as troubleshooting northbridge (if as suggested could be potentially the case here).

Having a known good BIOS would have been an easy test before deciding if its worth digging deeper. I might try replacing the CPU with a compatible one as you suggested if I have one lying around.

hello all, i also have a black screen problem on the 5536 model, i have already tried the reflow both on the northbridge and on the southbridge but nothing.
I wanted to try to flash the bios but with my TL866 I have problems flashing.

In reads I have to uncheck "verify id" otherwise it won't read me anything.
When I go to program instead it gives me this:

Samsung Series 9 - BIOS issue
                  by Kjell
After installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).

Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...

                  PS5 EDM-031 1216A BIOS Issue
                  by Syph1979
Hi all. First post here, so I hope I'm getting this right and operating in the spirit of things here.

I've been working on consoles for a while now. Always learning and trying new repairs, but I have one that has been stumped and I wondered if anyone with more experience could help?

I picked up a PS5 from eBay recently. It was described as not having the disc drive, but it was also a no power unit. On testing it was clearly an issue with the supply (no 12v), so I replaced that and then when I inserted the power lead, I got 3 beeps. So far, seems all related. As I was...

I need help with my Lenovo Legion laptop. It turns on for a few seconds and then immediately shuts down. I believe this is a BIOS corruption issue.
