Thanks for your reply (#47) at my question (#46) : I've pressed a long time the switch on the base cover (little hole near the external battery) without anything plugged (no ac adapter, no battery [ext/int/cmos]) but result is the same.
Any idéea ?

That's the wrong switch. Black switch, not white.

So i just backup my original dump
i store it
then i write the patched T440 that is available in the post that you show me
i follow the procedure
and BIOS password is gone forever?

send the bios here, someone will already patch it for you...

if the laptop has a switch on the base/cover you need to keep it pressed.

Hi everybody,
New on this forum and french : sorry for my english.
I've tried to remove a svp password and computrace from a factory X240 that I bought (motherboard VIUX1 NM A091 Rev. 1.0).
After flashing with patch, no result : when I plugged the AC, the power-on button lights 3 times then the X240 runs automatically but no beeps, no logo, ... I only hear the fan and the screen stays black even if the laptop stays plugged a long time.
Any idéa, issue to fix it ? Is there an X240 patch available ?

How do i use the patche attached in first post?
I just write it in winbond and follow the procedure:

Remove all battery and CMOS battery

press F1 to enter setup: password 1234
wait 20sec or more.
Enter any ID to hardware Id.
Press 2x space bar when asked.
Turn off the computer.
and restore your original bios .

???

L560 bios patched will work on other machines. No key needed.

there is no keygen, read the thread!
you backup your bios,
then you flash the patched one and boot the machine - remember to tape down any security switch if your laptop has one.
follow the thread instructions,
then re-flash your backup.
