Hi all, want to ask what is the best way to clean the ME region. I need to clean the ME region for a Apple MacBook Air A1466 (Logic Board 820-00165-A). Do I have to remove the SPI BIOS physically (Remove from the logic board) & re-flash the BIOS with clean flash Bin files rather than using the on-board service connector? & if possible can some one send me the link or clean file to re-program this BIOS for this MacBook Air A1466 model? Thanks all in advance.

by MICHAEL_2013Good afternoon. My client brought me a Mac A2251 EMC 3348 that he bought at a sale. The computer is completely iCloud-free, but it came with MDM installed. He has tried contacting the company that provides the MDM in every way possible, but they are unwilling to offer a solution. The device is:
Model A2251 EMC 3348. Serial Number: C02G54CZML85
Apple MacBook Pro Core i7 2.3, 13" 2020, 512 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM.
I've tried changing the serial number of the SoC ROM MX25U3235F, but it hasn't worked:
C02G54CZML84 only works up to Monterey.
C02G54CZML86 doesn't work (I...-

Hi everyone! I'm trying to fix my black screen / failed U8900 GPU v-core on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15" Retinaby doing a rework/reflow of the chip (once I determine that's the real issue; but it likely is).
I've been disabling the GPU in NVRAM for a few years... but it's just time for a better solution.
I'm new to soldering but the only feasible way to fix this issue is to do something myself.
MY QUESTION:
I've been seeing some people (on this forum mostly) run into issues with the logic board needing a serial number or it being deactivated (?)... -
by psdavid65I received a 2013 Macbook Air A1466 820-3437-B motherboard with serial number C02L6GQ9FSV8 that came in WITHOUT a bios chip. I got a new bios chip and reprogrammed it. Macbook now powers on but doesn't boot the SSD. I've flashed a ton of bios but still same problem. Windows installation works with this Macbook but never a mac installation. Unfortunately, since I didn't receive this macbook with a bios chip, I don't have the original bios. What can I do now?...

by devsignerHi
While messing around with my MacBook Pro, I stupidly pinged off a very small surface mounted component that I’m now trying to identify.
resistance tests show a rising resistance value, indicating a capacitor.
The laptop boots up and runs, however I'm choosing not to use it until I get it fixed.
i can’t see any markings on the capacitor at 10x magnification using a professional jewler's loop.
It seems like there's some damage to the capacitor - one side doesn't have "shiny bits" - can you tell I don't do this for a living!...5 Photos -
by ledbylightHi all!
This is my first post and also one of my first "deep dives" into electronic repair. I'm used to doing basic tasks with computers, like SSD/CPU replacement, thermal past re-application, etc. So here's the story...
I have a MacBook Air M1 that I bought to repair (I know, I'm weird; though I'm a CompSci major and want to learn more
, and it will not display anything on the internal display. I have verified that there's no backlight, as I booted the laptop and shined a flashlight on it and there's no display; it does completely boot up, and shows fine on an external...
