does not work, as soon as I connect the power supply, the poweron LED lights up, after 15 seconds the LED turns off and the fan starts to turn at maximum and remains so until power is disconnected.Comment

it went out by itself while it was working and it never turned on again, it just turned on and that's it

unfortunately this also does not work, it turns on by itself with the LED on and fan on, I tried other bios but gave no signs of life, can it be a micro-ec problem?Comment

If you write a new bios on this mobo, it usually turns on automatically and fan does spins at max speed and it will restart a couple of times(i think 3 cycles) and then display comes. the screen has to be attached to boot. Did you waited that long??Comment

good morning, I waited 4 or 5 min but the fan always runs, I have not connected the display, now I will try again with the display connected and the ram and let me know if it works

I left the notebook on with the fan at the most and after 2 hours it is still running, I think it's a little too long, the chip is recognized by the programmer so I think it's good, I tried a bios and with this the LED had no white light but amber however the fan did not start but only the led was onComment

Maybe then not problem in bios.You check all coil have voltage?

with this last bios connecting the power supply, the power led lights up for 3 sec then turns off, but the fan remains still and if I press the power button nothing happens, like it did at the beginning when I opened it the first time with the original bios,so i think this may be the original biosLast edited by poweron; 05-28-2019, 10:13 AM.Comment

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Hi, I have a problem while updating the bios 1.27.0. After that the display went off & the bios states as Dell Inspiron 3505 in the F2 boot > bios > Device when I plug into a secondary monitor. As I don't have any experience in bios, request you to please help me to flash the Vostro bios as they share the common motherboard (GDI53 LA-K037P).

Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...04-23-2025, 04:30 PM -
I have a Vostro 3420 8H8K5R3-8FC8 that freeze at any attempt to enter bios password or the recovery master password received from dell. I do not have a clean BIOS image to flash.
And as luck would have it happened a couple of months ago right outside of the warranty period (Dec 2023) warranty expired in September. Any help or guidance is appreciated.
