DMI block (this block contain your serial number, laptop model name and so on...) with start and end offsets:



Another block you must transfer from your original bios backup to the new file is the block containing Windows key, offsets are already mentioned in my previous post.

Check cable, screen ok

Can you check my bios please?

i need help with cleaning this bin lenovo v110 LV115SK, the fan just spins a bit the stops and later start to run at full speed with no display

have you tried a bios from this thread??? see what others have used and said they are OK, depending on your laptop model..

write back the bios chip with post#36.. see if it charges the battery... it might stop blinking... when the battery is finished charging..

Tried that bios file in post 36, but still same flashing power LED no display. getting fan spin but forgot to say i had that originally anyway

Edit:Update: i left it for a few mins whilst on the phone, i've came back and it's powered up to windows, but the power LED is still flashing

Im wondering if this is a hardware fault

Update:Whilst in windows, Ive downloaded the latest bios file from Lenovo for this laptop and installed this through the .exe for windows. It flashed fine with no errors

The power LED stays on solid now but i get no display, no backlight either. grrrr

Any Ideas ?
