Yes what they said and then some. It is always good to meet someone with skillz. I doubt there is much I can do for you but if I can let me know. I solder down to the size of this period. I have some experience with data recovery, very odd repairs to very odd size LCD panels, as well as repair of industrial controls and systems, logic boards, motherbords, PCBs and more. Lets just says I have been around the block. I am in Portland Oregon, but there is always tips and tricks to share anyway have a GREAT YEAR.Comment

tried the files on my dell 17 3721 , but i get error file size larger than IC size
any ideea please ? my mobo is vaw10-ls9104p . EC.bin is ok but chip.bin i get that error . thanksComment

Also can we flash it with wire clamp or must dessoldering from motherboard?

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
The Dell Inspiron 3480 I own (the all in one, not the laptop) is not wanting to turn on at all. It goes right to a dell logo, but it stays there forever with no other information on the screen. Holding the automatic Bios repair key combo (ctrl+esc) that should let it read a recovery file off a USB drive gets stuck on a black screen and does nothing. No amount of resetting anything so far has worked, and Dell's own support downloads have not really helped. Ive tried another BIN file I found online using my CH341A, and this got me slightly more, that time it displayed a loading bar that never moved... -
looking for a fully extracted (by programmer) Bios for a Dell Inspiron 17 (7786) v.1.09 or newer, so I can compare it with my own bios to check for corruption.

Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked.
