Re: Adaptable charger voltage for Clevo D901C laptop
You have two options: either send it to a repair shop or disassemble the laptop and give it a try. If you choose to disassemble the laptop, make sure to keep a trace of all the parts you remove, take photos, and document the process carefully and reply for post #7

Re: Adaptable charger voltage for Clevo D901C laptop
What is the supply voltage once connected to the adapter to the motherboard? Pin 4 is supposed to be 5V. After that, the voltage goes through Divider PR137 PR138, and the voltage will reduce up to 3V. The signal will change the name as AC_IN 13 to SIO chip pin 53. What voltage do you have on U2 IC pins 1, 2, 3, 4? Q36, Q35, pins 1, 8, and 4? Be careful when testing it with a multimeterLast edited by Techtiger; 11-13-2023, 01:54 PM.

Re: Adaptable charger voltage for Clevo D901C laptop
It dipped on the platform some of the charges middle pin output a higher voltage.when connected the Mob the supply will reduce according the charging IC /SIO Chip 0V -3V , what is the voltage in the middle pin with out connecting to the Mob ? Upload the schematic in the schematic section...

Re: HP Pavilion 17-f255nb - DAY22AMB6E0 - no power
issues with the PQ12 component and suspect that there may be a problem with the voltage supply to S (Drop)pins 1, 2, and 3. Additionally, suspect that there may be a problem with either PQ12, PQ14, or one of the voltage dividers connected to PQ14, as the gate supply is high. To troubleshoot this issue, recommend testing PQ12 with a multimeter in Diode mode without power and checking PQ14 voltage on all pins. This should help identify any faulty components or voltage supply issues that may be causing the problem

Re: Lenovo C340 No Power - Compal LA-H091P
Main line +19V is showing a short to GND. This may be caused by one of the two N-channel MOSFETs, PQ740 and the one next to it. To test it, use a multimeter in diode mode and check the S, D, and G terminals without power. If you are unsure how to perform this test, please refer to the forum for guidance

Re: Dell G3 15 3500 RAM issues
The guidelines was given out the schematic, To troubleshoot the issue, consider testing the DRAMRST signal on the RAM slot pin 30 supply and the power good signal +2.5V! Ensure that the power good signal is not less than what the EC expects.

Re: Acer Aspire E5-574G - Not Powering On
(PR1: Resistance = ~84K. Voltage on Pin 1 = 6V (Correct and same as REGN). Voltage on Pin 2 = 0V (Incorrect should be ~3V, same as ACOK).
ii) PR4: Resistance = ~84K. Voltage on Pin 1 = ~0V (Incorrect should be ~3V, same as ACOK). Voltage on Pin 2 = 0V.)
ACOK must be +3V PR1/4 100K replace the resistors visually damaged for PQ22 remove it and test resistance againLast edited by Techtiger; 11-04-2023, 03:47 AM.

Re: Dell XPS 13 9343 (No Power)
Is the adapter LED working? it could be due to multiple reasons BIOS could also be the cause of the power issue

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 NM-C811 No Power
That's a clear short to GND. This supplies the LDO +3VL, which is connected to the IT8227E, as well as other components such as RTC, PWRBTWN, etc. Do you have a DC power supply to inject voltage and identify which component is heating up?

Re: ASUS C433T dead, 5V 0.5A and 5v 0.1A
It is possible that the CC1, CC2, and VBUS lines are not working properly or may be shorted to GND. VBUS negotiation depends on the PD controller. What supply voltage are you getting for CLR? upload clear pictures of both sides of Board

Re: Asus X512F No Power
According to the measurements provided, two FETs are not switching. It seems that you haven't supplied the voltage readings for the first two N-FETs (Source, Drain, Gate). test them using a multimeter without power, in diode mode, on Source, Drain, and Gate. It's possible that one of the FETs or components connected to this line is faulty.

Re: HP Envy 13" X360. Not getting AC power.
Yes, you can power the Mob without the PQ21 without the battery. There may be a faulty component in the BQBATDRV line, or you may have to flash the BIOS, etc

Re: Asus C433T not powering on or charging
Richard, is the Asus C433T disassembled? If so, upload clear pictures of both sides of the motherboard, near the adapter connector there are 2 N-MOSFETs. Is it possible to provide us with the voltage on the Source, Gate, and Drain pins?"

Re: Asus X512F No Power
What supply do you get to the first two N-FETs (Source, Drain, Gate), and for the BQ24780 (ACN, ACP, CMSRC, ACOK, ACDET, REGN, VCC), supply?

Re: HP Envy 13" X360. Not getting AC power.
As for the details you have uploaded, without PQ21, the (Mob) has to boot the SIO, and the BQ Master & Slave have to identify whether an adapter is present (AC) and the power/charge light is illuminated. After that, remove PQ21 and power the Mob without the battery. Update?...
