I need bios dump for CQ57 200SM. I have downloaded BIOS from HP site but .fd file which is packed inside .exe is larger than 2097152. So i suppose that it wan't work if i just rename it to .bin. I need dump or some method to convert .fd to .bin.

Re: Compaq CQ57 200SM BIOS help needed
had 1 blink error on some old hp dv5.. thought its bios dloaded exe from hp site for this model, extracted it and there was two fd. files.. i just renamed those to .bin and flashed via programmer.. tried both and it booted with both.
Looks like problem wasnt about bios since im getting 1 blink still.. but fans running and good voltages etc. Size of my old bios was 1mb and files which i extracted from exe was also 1mb.
u could try it, just rename to .bin -

I know that for some models of laptops .fd size is same as bios dump but in this case there is big difference.Comment

Try this one - backup old bios first.
Might need to enter serials with dmi tools or copy the region from old dump.Attached FilesComment

by DynaxSCHi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).
I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...11-17-2023, 10:56 AM -

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to recover a Fujitsu Lifebook E5513 (most likely 2023 model) that was bricked during a BIOS update. The update was interrupted (probably due to power loss), and now the laptop is stuck in a boot loop showing "PBB rollback" / "SBB rollback" messages.
BIOS access (F2) and Boot Menu (F12) are no longer possible – the system instantly reboots after the rollback messages.
I extracted the official BIOS update package from Fujitsu (contains FJNB2FD.CAP, ~18.7 MB) and tried tools like UEFIExtract, but it seems to only contain...-
