I flashed the bottom IC (EC BIOS) with one virgin from on of the posts here S77_01030100.rar

The machine now turns on , but is missing DMI info I suppose.
Can someone help me out finishing this?

Can I enter them manually? need to get this info from the original EC file? kinda lost here...
    Appreciate it!

This thread is for the 845 G7 but anyway... get the DMI from your main bios with Rex98`s DMI tool - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...24#post1622424 ,then fill DMI with HP Bios Config utility https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/caps-soft...it/HP_BCU.html

            Hi SMDFlea!

Sorry, I ended up on this thread due to the same board number...
            My bad.

Ive run the tool but I get no DMI info output from my backup...
Is this not supported by the tool? or my error?

DMI is in bkp_7blinks_bottomIC.bin .Use a hex editor if the DMI tool doesn`t work. All the info should be on the laptop stickers as well.

                Ok
What is the block/offset I should copy from original bios to virgin bios with DMI info?

magneh Your laptop doesn't have Ethernet RJ45 port so the MAC address is not needed, the WiFi card has its own MAC address built-in

MAC address is required for laptops with Ethernet port, otherwise wired Ethernet won't work

                                Hello!
Sorry for my English. After being in sleep mode overnight, it wouldn't turn on in the morning. When I turned it on, the caps lock key flashed seven times. After searching for references on Google, it's possible that the BIOS is stuck, and all voltages are showing up. Please help me clear my BIOS. I've attached my dump.

Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

                                  Ive got...

                                  Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                  🧩 Initial Issue
                                  • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                  • External display (HDMI) shows
                                  ...

HP ProBook 635 Aero G8 - power on with only 0.02A - fix empty BIOS please

Laptop powering with only 0.02A load.
No short circuit found, so I try to read BIOS.
It looks very "empty", isn't it?

                                  Can anyone check it, please?

This is my dump from CH341A.
