    HP 15-bs058nf Corrupted bios

    Hello,

I'm looking for the correct BIOS for my HP 15-bs058nf laptop.

The official update from HP bricked my system — the screen went black and I'm unable to recover it using a USB drive.

I extracted the BIOS files from the official InsydeFlash executable and ended up with the following files:
    • 084D4.bin (8192 KB)
    • 084D4.sig (1 KB)
    • 0832D.bin (8192 KB)
    • 0832D.sig (1 KB)
    • 0832E.bin (8192 KB)
    • 0832E.sig (1 KB)
    • 08328.bin (8192 KB)
    • 08328.sig (1 KB)
    • 08445.bin (8192 KB)
    • 08445.sig (1 KB)
Unfortunately, I didn't save the original BIOS because it was already corrupted by the update, so I erased the chip using my T48 programmer.

Here's what I've tried so far:
    • 0832D.bin → no fan spinning, no boot
    • 0832E.bin → no fan spinning, no boot
    • 084D4.bin → no fan spinning, no boot
Can anyone help me identify the correct BIOS to flash?

    Motherboard reference: CSL50/CSL52 LA-E791P Rev: 2.0
    I use T48 programmer with Xgpro v12.88

    Thanks in advance!

SMDFlea Sorry for the late reply. I just flashed your BIOS and it works!!
However, I get an error at startup: "Manufacturing Programming Mode is in Unlock Mode."

I saw a video about using the HP BIOS Configuration Utility to fix this.
I checked the TXT file, and the SKU (part number) doesn't match the one I found on HP PartSurfer:
              https://partsurfer.hp.com/?searchtext=CND808427S

In the TXT file I get: SKU Number: 2PW31EA#ABU
But on HP PartSurfer it shows: Product Number: 2MG02EA

or do you think i can try recovery usb key to attemp a perfect setting ? (The computer's battery is dead, which might be the reason the update failed.)

              What should I do?

Huge thanks again for your help!!

Everything is working correctly now. Thank you for saving my BIOS. I've made a PayPal donation for a drink. Much appreciated! ✌🏻

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

Hi, I have a few of these & they came with a custom bios boot logo, no passwords etc.

2 x were brand new unused but with custom boot logo, 1 I installed Windows/ran updates then it bricked itself. 1 wouldn't get past the custom bios boot logo.

The third I loaded windows, took a backup of the bios chip, then tried to flash several different clean bios's via programmer which all caused it to not boot. I tried to reflash the original bios both using clip & desoldering but...

Hello, the bios on my Lenovo TD350 ThinkServer got corrupted during a bios update, the bios restore function killed the Server.
I need to flash the bios inside the MX25L12835F SOP8, i have already desolder the chip and solder it into my SOP8 adapter and read it with a ROM programmer.
I use the innoextract 1.9 software to extract the bios file from the .exe file that i download from lenovo website, can you help me edit the Hex file (removing the Index part and resize the file)?

Lenovo LOQ mdl 151RH8 bios Q: Can't get usb boot to list
                    by Max029
I've searched and read Beginners guidelines and other sticky threads. This is just a simple bios question. If I may, I'm having trouble finding any help, including from lenovo tech support & forum, for how to get usb boot to list in boot options. I'm trying to run memtest86 so nothing as highfaluting as re-install, flash a bios, etc.

I've made usb boot enabled and secure boot is disabled. I can find no other option in bios ver LZCN34WW (the original bios). Would anyone here be familiar with LOQ or Legion bios versions & know what is going on?
