HP 17-CP0055NM bios needed

I have an HP laptop that powers on but gives no picture, i suspect a BIOS problem from the issues presented. When extracting the HP exe bios it gives 2 bin files, not sure which one can be installed, if any at all just like that.

attached the original bios and the newest HP exe for the bios. Thanks for the help in advance

bios extracted from HP website update for..HP Laptop 17-cp0055nm (485F4EA), the laptop has two bios variants yours is 088C6...
DMI 413000 - 41403F
KEYWIN 435000 - 43503F

Thanks for the help, sadly same response from the laptop, powers on, fan spins for a few seconds, then it gets stuck on a black screen unresponsive. Might try to find a compatible chip to see if the chip is dead.

try,,but if you were able to write the bios content on it, it means it's ok..maybe the bios is not the problem...and measured the voltages on the coils???did you write the chip correctly??check the solder joints...

The solder joints on the chip are ok, will reflow just in case.

Voltages look OK too, nothing out of the ordinary. The chip is a W74M12JW, since asprogrammer doesn't have it i used the one it suggested 25Q16JW, both 1.8V. I've had success before using this combo on another laptop.

the original chip has 128MB, the chip you want to replace it with has 16MB...the bios doesn't fit on it...look for another replacement.....
