The solder joints on the chip are ok, will reflow just in case.
Voltages look OK too, nothing out of the ordinary. The chip is a W74M12JW, since asprogrammer doesn't have it i used the one it suggested 25Q16JW, both 1.8V. I've had success before using this combo on another laptop....

Thanks for the help, sadly same response from the laptop, powers on, fan spins for a few seconds, then it gets stuck on a black screen unresponsive. Might try to find a compatible chip to see if the chip is dead.Leave a comment:

HP 17-CP0055NM bios needed
I have an HP laptop that powers on but gives no picture, i suspect a BIOS problem from the issues presented. When extracting the HP exe bios it gives 2 bin files, not sure which one can be installed, if any at all just like that.

Acer Aspire 1 A115-32-C28P BIOS needed please
I have an Acer Aspire 1 A115-32-C28P laptop that tries to boot for 5s and then shuts off. (Mobo name GH5JJ/GH7JJ LA-K701P Rev C1)
I suspect the BIOS might be the issue, but ACER website doesn't come with a BIN file, only an EXE that doesn't contain the full image. I tried searching for a BIOS bin but no luck.
I have attached both the bios i read from the chip and the latest ACER bios. Thanks for any help in advance!... -

So it's not worth saving (flashes lenovo logo for a sec, then reboots to a black screen), the 2nd one only has the fan error that stops it from booting unless you press F1. I'd need the error removed so... -
Adding/unlocking CPU support for an HP EliteOne 800 G2 AIO
I bought a used HP EliteOne 800 G2 All in One PC, that has an i5 6500 in it with BIOS updates going into 2023. The Chipset in the AIO is a Q170, so in theory it should support 7th gen.
HP site only shows a few 6th gen supported, when i inserted an i7 7700k (dead mem. A channel, but would be good in the AIO since i can just put a single 16GB stick in there) with the newest 2.60 bios, the AIO powered on and beeped/flashed an error code for the RAM (3 long 2 short) in the first ram slot and in the other slot it powered on, restarted and then stayed on a blank screen.

I have a few HP Elitebooks 8560p with missing CPUs, i have some 2nd gen i3 and i5's, but not enough for all of them, i have a few 3rd gen CPUs, but they don't seem to work with the laptop at all, even on the latest BIOS.
Is there a way to add CPU support to the BIOS file? If it can even be done since HP and other laptop makers lock down BIOSes.

POSTing problems with an Asus X99 Pro motherboard
Hello!
I have an issue finding the cause of an Asus X99 Pro motherboard not posting. It powers on, but the Qcode stays at 00 and nothing heats up except for the VRMs, but even then it's like 30°C.
I tried to use the flashback feature, but no matter the bios or filename or USB i use, the flashback button blinks for 5s until i goes to a solid light. (USB is in the correct slot)
I have a CH341A programmer and extracted the BIOS, it's added in the attachment. I checked it with the FD44 editor and confirmed it's a 3701 version. I then opened up a newer... -
