T490 error message 2203 Skip acknowledgement of an error message

I have a T490 that displays the error message “2203: System configuration is invalid” immediately after the Lenovo logo every time it boots up.
This message must be acknowledged with 'Esc'. On the one hand, I cannot eliminate the problem, on the other hand, I have not observed any other restrictions.
Is it possible to change the BIOS so that this message no longer has to be acknowledged?

After flashing this BIOS and disconnecting and reconnecting the BIOS battery (cold start), I expected to see the message "press F1 to enter date and time" after a while. Instead I get the message "To interrupt normal boot, press Enter". The fan is running at full speed and the laptop is unresponsive to any keystrokes.

yes, I was aware of that. There are also some other reasons for this error message, but none of these apply in my case.

try lenovo diagnostic, and see if an error comes

No error from Lenovo diagnostics. I put the board in another T490 case, I flashed the BIOS from another known good T490, I initialized the EC and reconfigured it with the hardware maintenance disk.
              The error message remains.

I believe the 2203 error is related to the screen configuration.

I own an X1 Carbon Gen 8 (2020) and an X1 Yoga Gen 4 (2019). Both were functional, but the X1 Carbon Gen 8's LCD is broken (though still usable, and its specs are better). Since both motherboards share the same physical dimensions, I attempted to swap them.

After the swap, the first boot displayed a "configuration changed" message and restarted. Subsequently, both machines now show the 2203 Invalid Configuration Error on every boot, requiring me to press ESC to skip. I suspect hardware-specific data stored in the screen or firmware is causing this issue.

I tried using the ThinkPad Maintenance Utility v1.11 (EFI version) to modify the EEPROM, but it reported the EEPROM as read-only. I also used the Maintenance Disk V1.89 to adjust settings B0 (System Board) and C0 (LCD Panel), but the 2203 error persists.

I plan to revert the motherboards to their original devices to see if the error resolves.

                    Hello.
                    Has anyone solved this problem?
I bought a thinkpad x1 yoga gen8 mob on ebay and built it into a x1 carbon gen10 chassis but cannot get rid of the 2203 error.

I just recently had the same issue. A ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 8 motherboard (NM-C881) was completely fried and I locally acquired a ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 5 motherboard (also NM-C881) to replace it. Upon installing the new motherboard I started getting Error 2203 as well.

By unplugging the cables from the motherboard one at a time, the error message disappeared when I unplugged the "webcam+mic" cable. Unplugging the screen cable did nothing. By doing a little research I found out that while both laptop models are pretty much the same except for the Yoga being 2-in-1, they use different "webcam+mic" strip and cable. You would have to swap out these pieces on your laptop to get rid of this error.
