    HP 14-ac146tx

My laptop suddenly went shutdown. When i try to turn on again, the display was blank and capslock blink 2 blink.

when i turn on the laptop :
    1. Cpu fan spinning fast for some second like usual.
    2. Then the fan become too slow for 4 - 5 second.
    3. After that capslock light blink 2 blink and cpu fan spin faster again.

My laptop type was hp 14-ac146tx core i3 5005 and have another amd gpu. I read on community hp that capslock blink 2 blink was bios problem. Try to recovery bios but the driver download page for hp 14-ac146tx was empty. I search that my laptop motherboard SKITTL10-6050A2730001-MB-A01 same as hp 240 g4 and 246 g4. I found bios link on ftp hp softpaq. Version F.1F and 2.1A. I try making usb bios recovery and then hold press win + b or b key but didnot work still blank display. The usb recovery bios has 4 tipe bin file inside folder. 080BB.bin, 080BD.bin 080BF.bin and 08132.bin. i do not know which the right bios for my laptop.

Use 0808BB.bin stil get capslock blink 2 blink same as before.
              - Push power button fan spin faster for 4 second, the display on but blank.
              - fan spin very slow or stop for 10 second and display look off on for one time.
              - fan spin faster again and caps lock blink 2 blink.
the duration are 1,5 second blinking then 2 secons off and then blinking again for 1,5 second then 2 second off.

Because 080BB are for 5th gen intel where 080BD are for 4th gen intel, and 080BF are for 6th gen intel if i look the microcode with uefitool ne. So for 14-ac146tx that have i3 5005u proccessor the correct bios are 080BB. But the result is still same as before.

The HP usb bios recovery does work. Keep trying! I had the same problem with 2 different laptops. What ended up working was using a usb 2.0 drive (i don't know if this is the cause) and keep holding the windows and B keys for more than a minute.Maybe hold it for several minutes. Nothing happens on the screen. Then I came across this:

"If the HP BIOS Update screen is not displayed, press and release the power button, and then immediately press the Windows + b keys at the same time, repeatedly, until the computer beeps or opens the HP BIOS Update screen." I kept pressing power and then windows and b keys and the screen finally flickered momentarily and then the bios recovery screen finally came up. You will hear a change in the fan speed.

                      🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
                      by macabook
                      Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                      🧩 Initial Issue
                      • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                      • External display (HDMI) shows
                      ...

                      HI,

I have a Dell T7820 stuck in Bios recovery mode. I never get Dell Boot screen or anything visible on screen. The system just gives me 3 white lights and 3 orange lights indicating Bios recovery mode.

What I have tried to get to recover the Bios, there seems to be some conflicting advice about recovering the system.

All of them say to download the latest bios from the dell website which is a .exe file. I have done that

                      ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                      by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                      Some issues
                      A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                      Things I tried

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
                      by Wahaz
                      Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....
