so grateful to you for this patcher! I could successfully unlock the dell3440 I bought locked! the chip I patched was xmc 25rh256cxin, I used ch341b which appeared to not require 5-3.3v mod as it showed to me 3.3v on all data pins. The chip was low profile wson8 so I had to use hot air gun and solder it right on the back of my ch341b. I used NeoProgrammer V2.2.0.10 with selected configuration for chip W25Q256FV as per https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...49#post3171449
A few tips for soldering first-timers:
Be careful with hot air - as I was using hot air gun for the first time I put too much air as the board was dissipating warm and I messed up my board a couple of times blowing a few small resistors away. Fortunately I was able to put it back to life while changing one small resistor and fixing one of the traces. Put more temperature but less air (~30-40%) and keep warming up the area it may take up to few minutes if you're not using pre-heating table or something.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
        by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

        Dell Optiplex 5000 8fc8 with chip W25Q128JVSN
        by al_b0sni
        Hey, i bought a Dell Optiplex 5000 8fc8 with chip W25Q128JVSN.
I also used the CH341A programmer but my usb cable (i didnt attach it directly into the pc, i used a cable between) was corrupted. So i made a dump. Then i removed the password but unfortunately the dump had a loose contact so it was corrupted. And i've also overwrited the chip and now i dont have any dump anymore.

Can someone help me? I am stuck since hours and i cannot find any bin file anywhere.
I tried to extract the EXE for BIOS installation from dell and also the rcv file but i didn't manage to do that....

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
        by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
