    NR2202RX R2.0 Need Bios

    Hello,

    Not finding a BIOS on the internet, I would like to reflash the BIOS of a laptop that turns on but remains on black screen. (another RAM - LCD and external LCD same result)

    You will find attached the backup BIOS. My idea was to extract the BIOS from the ASUS site but I can't find a tutorial with an AMD CPU..

    Do you know how to help me with the BIOS I currently have or extract the one on the asus site?

    MODEL : ASUS GX650RX-L0145W
    S/N : R2NRKDCZR064081
    Motherboard : NR2202RX R2.0

      post the original bios of the laptop even if it is corrupted,etc...

                  Can someone fix the dump please? ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 GX650RX-lq143w....s/n:n6nrkd032908256
                  It has a black screen, sometimes it starts,..... someone put thermal paste instead of liquid metal, and it has 80 degrees in the bios

                  post merged...next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

                                          With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

                                          For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

                                          I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

                                          This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

                                          I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

                                          I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

                                          The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

                                          Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

                                          With original bios no POST, only LED lights
                                          With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                          Some issues
                                          A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
                                          B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                                          I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..
