by ronaldopdiasI’m troubleshooting an ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi motherboard and I’m a bit stuck at the BIOS level. What I’ve tried so far
- Attempted to flash the BIOS using the USB BIOS FlashBack (Q-Flash) port with a properly formatted FAT32 USB drive.
- BIOS file downloaded directly from the official ASUS support page.
- Followed the exact FlashBack procedure (correct port, renamed file, standby power only).
Issue:
The FlashBack LED does not blink at all — no activity whatsoever. Further investigation
Because FlashBack didn’t work, I:- Removed the BIOS SPI IC from

by ArkzGHey guys, I have an "ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506NF (2021)" that's locked with a UEFI password, I need to reprogram the BIOS chip but can't find a clean ".bin" file for this specific model, I've tried the official BIOS updates from ASUS support page, but they're 32MB updaters that don't extract to a usable 2MB .bin file for direct chip programming.
What I currently have available:
- Model: FA506NF (2021)
- BIOS chip: GD25LQ16 (16Mbit/2MB)
- Tools: CH341A programmer ready to use
Does anyone have either a clean 2MB .bin dump of this model,...-

by piratiHello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...-

Hello.
I am looking for a FULL 8MB BIOS dump for:
ASUS A407UB
Board: 36AM1SB1
Rev: 2.0
The laptop has no 3.3V rails after a bad BIOS flash.
Originally the board powered on abnormally (CPU heating as soon as adapter was plugged).
After flashing an incomplete BIOS image, the board is now dead (no 3.3V, no boot).
What was tried:
- Read BIOS guides and recovery methods
- Used official ASUS BIOS file (partial image)
- Tried flashing with external SPI programmer
- Recovery was not successful

Hello everyone.
Can anyone provide a BIOS dump for this board? The SPI flash chip failed. After replacing the chip, I tried flashing the BIOS from the Asus website using Flashback.
The BIOS loads successfully, but the board doesn't boot. It freezes on the logo and prompts me "to press Del or F2" to enter the BIOS.
The postcode is 0d, and the keyboard doesn't respond. I've tried different BIOS versions, reset the CMOS, and the only thing left is flashing a dump from a donor.
I'd appreciate any ideas, any help, and, of course, if anyone has a working dump....-
