Asus Vivobook S14 Flip OLED TP3402 AFUWINGUI memory dump error for decoding lost BIOS password

    Hello everyone,

I'm an owner of an Asus Vivobook S 14 Flip OLED TP3402 laptop (TP3402ZA-KN063WA)
    with serial number: NBN0LP019584459
and I lost the BIOS password that I set in this laptop one year ago.

I tried to recover the password using the AMITSESetup method described on the forum. I found that it is possible by software to obtain the BIOS file from my computer (afuwin.rom), but when trying to do so in AFUWINGUIx64 I received the error number 31 "Unable to read contents from specified file" shown in the attachment. I don't have a programmer, hence my request for help if it is possible to do something to decode my password. Or does anyone know how else I can regain access to the BIOS without buying a programmer?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I got the programmer and software can't identify the chip. I'm using SOIC8 clip and I don't know what's wrong. Which chip is the correct one: XMC or G? Can it be a problem with the clip connection?

I was using 1.8V adapter and without it the program automatically managed to identify the chip and save the dump. I don't know if my file is corrupted or the program itself badly reads the chip. I'm using RT809F programmer with SOIC8 clip and compared different dumps and with other model selected in the software and all are the same. Can someone help me with decoding the password? Thank you in advance and below is what i saved:

I only found these two chips (1 attachment). I can't find any other, especially near the processor but here are photos of my laptop and motherboard closeup (attachment 2 and attachment 3).

Indeed, I checked the motherboard model on AliExpress and the BIOS chip may be on the other side. Thanks.

Hello guys, I finally managed to disassembly whole motherboard from the laptop. Here in the picture is the BIOS chip Winbond 25R256JVEN. The problem is my SOIC clip can't get connection with the chip because its pins are so small. Do you have any tips for reading the chip without desoldering it? Thank you
