Elitebook 840 g6 Touch screen not working.

Hello, I want to know if there's a way one can make touch screen work after building bios file.

I notice the touch function stop working both in bios setup and on windows after reprogramming the bios file, this is not the first time of experiencing.
The model of the laptop is Elitebook 840 g6,is there a way to resolve this?

Was a password removed from the bios EC or a different backup flashed

There are some touch screen settings in the EC_Bios (on some models) ,if you have removed a password by editing the EC_Bios NvramActiveRegion the touchscreen setting is gone. I`m not sure if it can be edited back in afterwards. If not then use a bios + EC_Bios (or EC_Bios only) dump from a touchscreen model

HP Elitebook 820 G4 BIOS repair assistance required

              Hi guys,

If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.

              BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....

microsoft surface pro 5 touch screen not working
              by Gabriel Lucas
Hello everyone, I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the touch doesn't work. According to what the previous owner said, the screen stopped working after an update. The screen has no physical damage, and the touch works for 1 second when it turns on and then stops working. I've tried updating the drivers, formatting, and returning to factory defaults, but nothing worked. Can you help me?

              Greetings badcaps community,

I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.

Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.

              I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.

These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.

              I learned that desoldering...

HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns - Complete Black Screen - Only video on live usb
              by iZakre
              Hello everybody!

To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

HP 14s-fq1010nm Black screen after BIOS update - cannot downgrade
              by mitchw
Just had a customer bring in a HP 14s-fq1010nm to do some maintenance.
After updating the BIOS to the latest (F.35) I get black screen (no backlight turning on). However the backlight turns on if I connect an external display to HDMI, but when booting to Windows, both displays remain black.
After disconnecting internal LCD, and plugging in external display via HDMI, it works on external.

I tried downgrading it using official method - using an USB drive with older BIOS version, but it fails, saying that the BIOS files are corrupted. I used about 5 different older BIOS versions...
