post merged...next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted.

Here is some more information if this helps in any way

Does this help in anyway. I don't have the motherboard model as yet nor i have the dump. I can try getting it. I am actually helping out my technician diagnosing my laptop so i can ask him for further details. Does the above information suffice for now or do you still need the motherboard model and the dump of the bios chip ?. Thanks

Apologies if I made any mistakes — I’m still new to this and trying to learn, so please bear with me. I’ve read through the forum rules and I understand how important it is to follow them properly.

Here is the information I have so far:

                    Make & Model: Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14IJL7 Type 82LV
                    Serial Number: PF52FL82

MO (?): PF9XB4906215 (please let me know if this is relevant)

Issue: The laptop powers on but shows a black screen. There is no Lenovo logo or POST. I suspect BIOS corruption, but I’m not entirely sure.

Here is my corrupted BIOS dump

Please let me know if anything else is missing or incorrect. I appreciate your help and patience.

                    Thanks in advance!

Flashing the bios keeps the laptop on. Is there a different version of bios available ?. Have checked the voltages , switching board, bios board are working fine. However there is still no display on screen.

First off, I saw the other thread, but that seems to be a different version (same model though), because I tried all of the linked bioses and none work. They actually cause the laptop to do nothing. At least when I use the bad bios, lights come on. (charging light, power button light, and caps lock light), but no screen.

Another thing is that the bios has a different name (Old thread has "e8cn36ww" and mine is "fqcn31ww") and the BIN in this thread (below) are 8mb, and the CAP file that I get is 16mb (after using innextract 1.9). I don't know how to get the BIN...

BIOS Help Regarding GM5IX7A-GM6IX7A Origin Laptop

                                  Hi,
I have OriginPC EON 15SL, however, my laptop starts and shutsdown after 1-2 second. Keyboard leds are coming on then fans spinning then it shutsdown and not turning back on unless I plug out the power cable and plug it in. I had issues with bricked BIOS then I flashed BIOS I got from the vendor to the SPI chip and still it didn’t worked because my EC firmware was newer than the BIOS I have flashed. So I wanted to try flashing the EC chip with the correct firmware that matches with the BIOS also from the vendor and it worked everything was well, and then stupid me wanted to unlock some...

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings

Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...
