That passowrd is specific to that one service tag.

i have been given 5 of these laptops all have admin passwords on them.this is the first one i am looking at.

This should do you, http://bios-pw.org./
The codes you get, will be Case Sensitive
Ctrl+Enter
As you havent given the full service tag (HQ39FOJ-****) you will be given 3or 4 codes, so you will have to try them all untill you get the right one, any problems let us know

cheers trebo defently there is nothing after the HQ39FOJ on any of the stickers i will try your link if not may have to strip each one down to short the bios chip pins pity its a pain to do takes a bit of time.

sorted the one i was having problems with by shorting the 2 pins on the chip as per you tube video works fine now just loading xp on the machine now cheers
