Now i Tried "I" and a low L also l an always the same. pls tell me if i do correct i type in what the generator tells me and the i pressed ctrl and hold it down and push enter. Is this right? i tried also to change z to y and it dosent work for me....any ideas?

P.S. And I've tried different combinations of 1,I,l...

Also, I've found that the actual serial number on the HDD is one character more, it starts with WX41...

But still no luck with unlocking it. Is there anything else I can do?

Hey guys,

I've tried the tool online as well as downloaded binary, but it doesn't work for me.
I even tried compiling it myself on lubuntu, but that actually gives me a different output for my HDD string.

Your tool gives me: sLIwFXElxR69mCQN online as well as in windows executable
My compiled dell.c gives me: plpyukbs

I've tried using external keyboard and enter with ctrl pressed, etc. My keyboards are QWERTY.

worth a try because some bios take 11 from left and some take 11 from right

Codes need to be entered on a Qwerty keyboard
they also are Case sensitive, so enter as seen
sometimes pressing enter is enough, but other times you need to hold down control and then press enter, and then again sometimes you need to hold down control then press enter twice, hope that helps
