        This is what i got from winbond chip on my dell motherboard using ch341a usb programmer with Neoprogrammer after reading the chip.

                Yes just found one more winbond chip on other side of motherboard. But it is really closely soldered with board and hard to read with sop8 test cable.

                        I wrote a Linux shell script and use egrep to search for FCAA and FDAA in the locked file.
                        The whole thing is written into a Markdown file to compare where FCAA and FDAA appear, then use the wonderful program HxD Editor to change the values from AA to 00.
                        That should be it, I'm not a professional and I can make mistakes.
                        You can compare the result in the picture.

                            your bios dump is ... strange. what programmer did you use to make the dump? It should have 33.554.432 bytes and it has 22.806.412 bytes and has no volumes. and .rcv extension is for a bios recovery image, did you get it from bios update? It has no use, you have to dump the bios chipset from your motherboard.

                            thanks for your reply volinakis. Is it necessary to use a programmer to dump the Bios? Sorry for the stupid question. This laptop's USB ports are blocked. I can still log in into Windows with my fingerprint but the OS keeps hanging for some reason. I managed to connect it to another laptop on the home LAN and created that BIOS dump with some DOS command I cannot remember now. Is there any other way to generate it?

                          still don't get it after 6 months, huh? strings you have to search for are xx00FCAA and xx00FDAA. And why write "Linux shell script and use egrep to search for FCAA and FDAA" when HxD has the function to search for hex or text? Just to show off or your capacity to think is reduced?
