Wrong chip,the XMCQH80B is 8Mbit = 1MB .Datasheet https://www.badcaps.net/download/?id=9459d129 .What you`ve posted is the thunderbolt firmware.

I downloaded the BIOS update from the official Dell website and extracted its contents. Inside, I found the BIOS image file. However, the BIOS file I extracted is larger than the existing chip capacity, so I couldn't flash it directly.

Actually, my main goal is to update or replace the EC (Embedded Controller) firmware on the motherboard. I’ve heard that this might be possible by rewriting the BIOS entirely, but I need your guidance or confirmation on that.

Also, on the motherboard, I found a chip labeled FM25Q08B which appears to be empty (no data inside). Does anyone know what this chip is for?

• Main BIOS chip: Winbond 25Q80DVSIG
• The bios file I used is attached.

The file you posted is thunderbolt firmware, look for the bios chip.. .Post the laptop service tag !
