    Lenovo Ideapad B50-80 (80EW) - LA-B091P - Power Blink Orange light ?

    Hello to all,

    New laptop to troubleshoot.
    It power on , fan spin , no image, no light on caps lock.
    Power light is blinking orange .(not an error blink) just orange blinking.
    You press power button again , again it powers up fan spin ,and then cuts off.

    What i tried?
    Removed everything only board, and external monitor left on , and powered with bridge to the power button (in case it was the problem)
    Tried reset RAM ,new RAM , re-flashed bios dump ,from thread that i found here again all the time the same behaviour. With any kind of bios dump it keeps the same thing.
    Checked the DC-IN Mosfets for strange behaviour ,again all pins 20v and 1 to both 8,7volt

    I will upload the original bios dump , which was triple veriried

    No liquid, no damage , it's in perfect condition , it just went to "sudden" death.

      You should be more detailed in giving info. What you have described are symptoms.

      01.What is the voltage on pin4 of dc-in mosfet?
      02.Does it charges battery??
      03.Resistance on all coils??
      04.Voltage measurements on coil while it turns on??

          Sorry i wasn't so comprehensive i should be more.

          01. 20.2
          02. No ,maybe dead battery as well , no indication on battery light.
          03. Yes
          04. Stays 0.00volt in all colils, none has any kind of reading.

              Remove all power -> meter in resistance mode.

              Check the DCin mosfets for a defect using the resistance checks.

              Post each measurement.

                  20V at pin4 of dc-in mosfet is certainly wrong as@mon2 has highlighted. Follow his advice.

                      My mistake , PIN 4 is at 7,50 volt in both mosfets.

                          I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
                          It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.


                          So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
                          After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

                          I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

                          So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

                          The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

                          Hello Everyone!

                          I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.                          ...

                          Hello all once again, today I'm presenting the follow issue on a Toshiba Tecra A11.
                          I will post more motherboard and detailed info later.

                          So basically the board won't power up.
                          If you try to power it on switch there's no response.

                          The only thing you can see is on DC In LED, blinking orange.
                          With 3 long blinks wait for a second... and 2 short blinks after that it loops this sequence.
                          I search over Google, and seems theres a method to identify this issue by converting binary to hexadecimal and we get the error code of where's the problem...

                          When i fully shut off mac, orange light goes off and wont react to power button. I have difficult time resetting with combination "shift+control+option and power button", because it rarely works (reason unknown), when i manage to get orange light and then press power button macbook wont turn on and orange light goes off. When i hold combination with power button it turns on, and works fine if put it to sleep mode.

                          Works with battery and charges, but when i shut off i get this problem.

                          It had liquid spill. Board has no corrosion, keyboard is working, power button...
