HP ProBook 650 G4 Blinking Amber Light

Same motherboard, same bahaviour

Q68100 :
D=19.52v.../ G= 17.33v.../ S = 19.52
Q68101 :
S = 19.52.../ G = 19.48../ and Drain = 0.307v

So voltage gate isn't acceptable !

No 3 v/5 v are present...no short to Gnd..
no 3v is present at PW connector :
pin 1 =GND
pin 2 = 0.111v
pin 3 = 0.350v
Pin 4 = 0.340v

Same voltage for isl with post n #9
but pin 24 is 0.009v

DCIN (17)=19,15V
VDD(18)=5,129V
ACIN(19$)=3,866V
CMIN(20)=0V
ACOK(24)=0.009V
VDDP(8)=5,123V

At both 3/5 v circuit there's 12.63v
the 3v circuit is marked = LE=5G 51y

Both mosfets are suspects. Remove all power. No battery. Meter in resistance mode.

Measure the resistance across the mosfet pins:

source (1-2-3) & drain (5-6-7-8)
source (1-2-3) & gate (4)
gate (4) & drain (5-6-7-8)

Post each resistance measurement in ohms for these 2 mosfets.

red probe at drain
source (1-2-3) & drain (5-6-7-8) = 3.353 mohm
source (1-2-3) & gate (4) = OL
gate (4) & drain (5-6-7-8) = OL
inverse probe = all OL

Q68101 :
red probe at drain
source (1-2-3) & drain (5-6-7-8) = 3.653 mohm
source (1-2-3) & gate (4) = OL
gate (4) & drain (5-6-7-8) = OL
inverse probe = all OL

Hi i have same problem with Hp 650 G4 charching port blinking amber ... But i see my cpu is litle hot .. Are you have samesyptoms ?

Test the voltage to ground of each inductor on the board. Confirm there are valid voltages on each power rail. Test with a known good battery. Does the unit power up without the battery?
