    MBP 2015 A1398 820-00138 audio problem

Hello group, there is no sound from the internal speakers and it does not show up as a device, when I plug in a headphone, headphone does show up but all i hear is a recurring pop. The digital audio output gets activated.
PP3V3_S0_AUDIO_ANALOG is 20ohm to gnd and PP4V6_AUDIO_ANALOG is 4.3ohm to gnd. Are these resistances ok, is voltage injection safe on these lines? Thanks in advance.

What are the voltage measurements of these power rails?

They do sound (no pun) low to me. Do not do injection yet.

      PP3V3_S0_AUDIO_ANALOG is 3.3V and PP4V6_AUDIO_ANALOG is 1.7V
      4V5_REG_IN is 4.9V

I don't have the schematics in front of me but locate all caps on this rail PP4V6_AUDIO_ANALOG.

Start with the largest and carefully remove off the pcb or slide to one pad only. Then check the resistance of that rail again. Some part, likely a cap is shorted. The voltage should not be this low. Often the bad players are polarized tantalum capacitors.

U6200 (TPS71745) is only rated to 150ma max. 4 ohms will exceed that (V=IR). There are only 4 caps on this line and U6201 to isolate what is causing it.

Thanks for the responses mon2 and reformatt. I removed all 5 capacitors and U6200 but no change in resistance... removed the U6201 and short is gone

Help troubleshooting an audio problem with an RCA SGT-250 CED Player
              by samson7point1@yahoo.com
The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

              Hi there.

I've got an Apple Macbook pro 15" Late 2015 with a strange audio problem.

The Left speaker work fine, the right speaker have muffled sound (it's seems only the bass work). If i ear the music the sounds it's good, but if i balance the sound left i ear very clean, if i balance right the sound it's bass and muffled.

I change the speaker, but not solved. I replaced amplifier, codec and i check all the passive filter. Problem not solved.

I've the some trouble with another 15", A1707 late 2016.

              Anyone have...

              MOTU TRAVELER MK3 AUDIO PROBLEM
              by falcontech
              Good Afternoon
I have a problem with this MOTU audio card, a traveler MK3, the connection to the computer is via firewire, the card is recognized by the computer (both mac and win) but I have no audio output, on the front there are a series of LEDs including the clock (44.1, 48, etc.) and that LED at the time of connection usually remains fixed telling me the clock frequency set on the computer, now at every start the LED in question remains flashing in most cases, sometimes it becomes fixed, other times it disappears, without any sign of operation, I exclude problems with the firewire chip,...

              a1398 2015 weird keyboard problem
              by wnt2fx
I installed a new keyboard and it can smc reset and the power button works. but nothing apart. no boot picker e.g. I am wondering how this can be explained if the alt key (smc reset) is working. I am aware that on the board side shift, ctrl, alt and pwr are separately wired but the board, trackpad/cable are good. The keyboard was tested working prior installing and as another keyboard now tested on the same board improvised works as well the only idea I have is that I damaged the keyboard flex cable while installing it into the case. But why hell smc reset and power are working then ? Anyone has...
