A2237 = T2 model. Not that I am aware of but wait for others to comment. The old hacks are no longer valid from my understanding. -

Nope. Not unless you have iCloud account info (email) and can request the account holder remove the FMM association.
Bypasses a waste of time unless you have a specific need/purpose for the bypass, as it's not an unlock. And as Mon2 mentioned, the previously-working bypasses are no longer viable.

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

I am brand new to this forum, and I am eager to learn about repairing laptops. I have an engineer background although I haven't done electronics for a while. I have watched several Youtube videos in the last two months, trying to understand how to diagnose a faulty motherboard. I have a USB-C Amp meter and a classic multi meter. No DC Power Supply to inject voltage, no soldering iron to replace components.

Hey! As the title says. i don't know if this is the right place to ask but i need to get trusted USB C Controllers (CD3217-CD3215) For macs and dont know where to get them. i dont know if you guys know where is a good place to get it.
The thing is that i have a Macbook air A2337 M1 and i dont have a donnor board to get the CD3217. Hello all,
I am repairing a Macbook A2337 and i have a problem
The Macbook is stuck in restore as someone before me tried a DFU restore and bricked the device, now i can't do a restore as AC2 throws error 1 which is related to the trackpad.
When i turn on the device i get the trackpad click for a few moments and then nothing, i tried 7 trackpads and 7 trackpad flats, i know all 7 are functioning okay, especially one as i use it for testing and DFU restore.
I inspected the whole board and everything seems fine.
Can anyone help me as i didn't fiddle with trackpad... -

PPBUS_AON: 12,3 V
PP5v_S2: 0 V no short
PP3v3_S2_UPC: 0 V no short
