MacBook Air A1466 2017 no Power via MagSafe

Hello, I have a MacBook Air that got some liquid! It worked again, but now it won't load or start with the power adapter! As long as the battery is still charged, the MacBook works normally on battery! But not with a power supply. There is also no green or orange light at the plug! Not even with another Magsafe. Even a new DC power board does not work. It's probably the logic board! Need help. Thanks

Post the full 820-xxxx # on the logic board to reference the proper schematic.

    Probably 82-00165 ?

    See attached.

Remove the battery - attach only the known good Apple original power adapter.

Measure and post the voltage readings on D7005.

great, I just started measuring the D7005! there is nothing on pin 1,2,3! At pin 1 only 0.0010V.
And with my healthy board there is 16V.

          That was expected.

See attached. Measure & post the voltages for the referenced points with your magsafe adapter connected.

PPDCIN_G3H is not the proper value @ 3v13.

              Reference:
              https://www.logi.wiki/index.php/Powe...List#820-00165

              It should be PPDCIN_G3H = 18v5.

Can you test with the other power adapter ?

                      1) confirm the DCIN magsafe board does not have any burnt contacts with your external adapter. Use alcohol to clean the contacts.

                      2) after the above check, take the bridge cable from the working unit off and apply the bridge cable from this non-working unit (DCIN board to the main board) on the known good A1466.

Do you see the proper PPDCIN_G3H voltage on the known good A1466 ?

Be sure to swap the cables only with power removed from the logic boards!!

Is this using the non-working board's bridge cable ?

Now transfer over the daughter board (LIO) onto the non-working board & use the same tested bridge cable.

Then test again with the known working Magsafe adapter.

Post the voltage readings for PPDCIN_G3H.

Check R7012 voltage with no magsafe attached; should be close to 0V. If not, usually leaky Q7180 after liquid damage.

So a part on the logic board is defective! I had already exchanged the D7005 after the damage, after that the MacBook worked. But it hasn't been loading for 4 days. No light on Magsafe connector. And as I said, the voltages that I measured.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                          Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!
