    A1708 820-00840-01 Chime Loop

    Hi everyone!
I have A1708 13'' Macbook Pro with 820-00840-01 board. When i connect the charger with the amp meter it goes to 20V 600-660mA and the down to 280mA and stays there. Chime sound stays repeating all the time. No backlight, yes trackpad clicking. I don´t have an usb-c usb pendrive or mouse to test cpu activity.

    PPBUS_G3H: 13.04V
    PPDCIN_G3H: 20,24V
    PP3V3_G3H: 3,14V

    Any suggestions?

Try to reset your PRAM and NVRAM and see if that helps.

Nothing, stays like at the beginning. Starts the chime loop and to ended i have to maintain the power button. I have the touchpad click but not any light in the caps lock. Maybe bios?

I found two capacitors with some cracks in PPBUS_G3H_CPU rail. In resistance mode it measure 5Kohm and rising. I attach a photo. Could it be related?

The resistance are ok but crack is never good for anyone

Remove the caps off the logic board and test again.
          PP3V3_G3H: 3,14V
This rail looks to be low. Can you confirm it again ?

Then remove all power -> meter in resistance mode -> check & post the resistance to ground for this rail.

Sorry mon2, I made a mistake when i wrote it. PP3V3_G3H is 3,41V. Is 4,5KOhm to ground. I´m going to remove the caps now.

I remove the caps and tried it again. It´s doing the same.

[Macbook pro A1708] [Boot loop] [Trackpad ?]
                by No Lan
                Hey everyone,

Usually, I'm not the type to ask for help, but this time, I'm calling on your wisdom and expertise I've seen what this community can do, so I'm pretty sure you guys can help me out.

Here's the deal: I noticed my MacBook got stuck in a boot loop. After opening it up and doing some initial troubleshooting, I found that the boot loop stops only when the trackpad is unplugged.

Now, just so you know, the trackpad actually works — I tested it with another motherboard and it's all good. Same for the cable, no issues there. The problem is only...

Yet another Samsung QLED Boot Loop
                by Takeatry
Samsung QLED QN50Q — purchased 2022 started experiencing a delay in the picture coming on in the morning less than 2 years later. Did not know the term boot loop at that time. As the loop delay ran into a few minutes did all the recommended troubleshooting, soft and hard reset, changing cables and outlet locations, no help. As the delay increased contacted Samsung tech group and allow them remote access the tv. Tech was moving too fast to see exactly what he was doing but this ultimately it was also no help. Lived with the delay until it stretched out over 6 hours. Pulled of off the back cover...

Samsung UE49MU6105K - boot loop, horizontal lines
                by blaster_
Less than a year out of warranty, samsung UE49MU6105K craps out, they've got this designed obsolescence down to an exact science of self destruct when out of warranty...

Screen started to show horizontal lines and ghosted image at the bottom, then turned off by itself. Did software update, to no avail of the line problem, and got a boot loop after some minutes of watching TV. This boot loop will turn on the backlights for some seconds the sound comes on, the image will turn dark very fast and then it reboots again. Pressing power button will not put it on standby. Disconnecting...

Lenovo Legion 5 (15ITH6H) kind of boot loop but not sure
                by Stefano Crivellari
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me fix my Lenovo Legion 5 (15ITH6H) laptop. Basically, after a windows update the computer would not boot anymore. When powering on the laptop the screen has no backlight and nothing would show up, using an external monitor did not help. However, the laptop would still spin up the fans and turn on the keyboard backlight. The keyboard backlight intensity function key would work and the power button led and the charging led are also working. I've tried every possible combination of key press and power button hold down time but did not change anything. At this point...

HP gaming 15-0013dx quanta G3HA no video, screen polarize on and off loop
                by ferah831208
I have an HP gaming 15-0013dx laptop , motherboard quanta G3HA with AMD Ryzen 5 cpu and Nvidia discrete grsphics card. The laptop turns on and u can see the screen polarizing on and off in a loop but no video signal. All voltages are ok measured and stable (I checked all with oscilloscope). This schematics don't have power sequence but I'm using a similar sequence from another laptop with AMD CPU and I get all to the point CPU must release apu_pwrok and apu_rst#, this signal comes valid only for the period of time the screen is polarized and they disappear and same loop behaviour (active/inactive)....
